AB GIRLS is a ministry of the American Baptish Church focused upon meeting the spiritual needs of girls as they move through the many changes their lives will take as they grow into adulthood. Why just girls? We all know that girls and boys are different and, at times, have very different needs. We also know that sometimes youth are less inclined to speak up in mixed crowds, and often hold back from sharing their true feelings around the other gender.

AB GIRLS ministry is designed to complement the Christian Education and youth ministry programs in a congregation. AB GIRLS is a way for girls to have the opportunity to deal with tough questions honestly, to build close relationships with each other, and to build a program that will meet their particular needs as growing women of faith.

Girls of Joy- Grades 3-5

Young Women of Hope - 9-12

We meet as one group every third Saturday of the month at 2:00 pm. We have a lesson on different topics that will help the girls grow in their spirituality with God. Interact with each other. No one is too old or to young to learn from one another. Each of us is here to serve. Each of us have, God given talents in which God meant for us to use to glorify his name. We try and make this a fun filled experience that will leave the girls hungry for the spirit of our Lord, and armor for the daily temptations they face as they grow to adulthood. We have a Craft or a game, sing songs and laugh with each other. We have discussions about what is going on in their lives and what their concerns are.

Each year we go to Crosswinds for ABGIRLS camp. We raise money throughout the year so each girl can go. We never turn down a girl for lack of money. (It's not about the money) Fund Raisers: Chile feed Sunday - Sunday Spaghetti Dinner. We have had lock-ins over night, baked cookies for Ronald McDonald house and made Christmas goodies for the widows and widowers of our community.
